On a whim, I decided to make a new gilet (using the alternative view of the same pattern I used for a jacket last year). The local fabric shop's pretty nice (I got some fleece for hats from it a few weeks ago); they didn't have any pertex (apparently waterproof nylons are hard to find, since its normally sold straight to factories), so I just got a synthetic fabric which I'm going to use along with some grey fleece I already have (I've got some wash-in waterproofing stuff, so the lack of an inherent water resistance won't be a problem =3). I cut out the pieces this afternoon, and I'll start sewing it tomorrow.

The only problem is, the shop didn't have a long enough zip, so they had to order it in for me (which'll take until Monday). v_v

No problem. I don't have much experience dealing with footwear, so I expect they'll come in handy. :)

Thanks again, and if you're interested in knowing i'm actually typing up the next two parts of the Grimoire School story as well as doing a few side stories like your elemental one. Just figured i'd tell you so that you would know about them.
