Well, I just made a ginger cake (two, in fact!) for...reasons. You can never have enough ginger cake.
In a completely unrelated matter, the open day I attended went pretty well (I'll be invited back for more info at some point early in 2015 - I can't believe it's already December!). The job interview was cancelled in favour of form-based application, so I'll be attending that on Monday (from what I can tell, if I get the job, it'll begin in the new year).
Until then, I'll probably spending Sunday practising my interview technique.

Another update
So, when I went to the fertility clinic a few months ago they told me that my local authority doesn't cover it for transgender patients, meaning I'd have to pay for it out of pocket.
However when I went to my third appointment with the gender specialist last week (no hormones yet, sadly, since they want me to make sure I've worked all this out), I was told that they have to (more specifically the fairly expensive initial costs; I have to pay for storage, but that's a just-about-affordable fee of ~£100 a year). So that's back on the cards now! =D
Also, sorry I haven't uploaded any baking pics for ages -- I haven't had a functional camer
Update the Second
Wow, it's been nearly a quarter of a year since my last journal?
Well, since I wrote it:
I've had my follow-up appointment at the clinic. My third (and hopefully final before I go on E) will be in August.I'm living full time.I've had an appointment at the fertility clinic to see if I can get my gamete cells frozen, just in case, but my local authority doesn't cover it for transgender patients, so I'd have to go private (and I don't have £3000 burning a hole in my pocket). I can always adopt. My half brother's wedding was on the 1st, marking my first time wearing a dress to a formal event.
I had my first (of 7) vocal therapy sessions 3
Transition update
Well, this isn't the best day to post news, but I haven't done a journal entry in a while, so:
I legally changed my name 3 weeks ago.I've had my ears pierced. My name badge at work, bank account, phone plan etc have all been updated, along with my cards.
My new driving licence arrived this morning (with both my name and driver number updated).I had my first appointment at the clinic (they've written to my GP to ask for blood tests so I can go on HRT, put me on the waiting list for voice therapy, etc).I've had most of the month off work (since March is when holiday time expires). There's finally some non-trouser weather.
Happy Birthday to me~
So, tomorrow (which is in about 50 minutes, local time) is my birthday! =3
I've gifted myself a week off work (just finished my first ever duty manager shift).
